Prolife Hypocrites?

As most of you probably know by now, abortion doctor George Tiller was killed Sunday. He was one of three American doctors that would perform third term abortions. Ok, here is where i am kinda annoyed by people. There have been many attacks on abortion clinics as well as abortion doctors. If the motive for killing Tiller was because he was killing babies, then wasn’t the killer a HUGE hypocrite? Killing someone because they kill someone. Wow. Hypocrisy is such a terrible thing!!! Tiller was serving as an usher in his church when he was killed (hypocrisy #1, christianity doesn’t support abortion), the killer , Scott Roeder, killed him for killing (hypocrisy #2). I don’t mean this as just a way of complaining, but just as a way to remind people, THINK!!! Don’t be a hypocrite.

I’m in another new band! . . . .well kinda. I had a cool idea the other day so now Charlie hopped on drums, I’m on guitar, and Parker is bass (in Cruising Grey, Charlie is on guitar Parker on bass and me on drums). Oh yeah, i will also be singing. Since Parker is the only one on his primary instrument, we ended up with a White Stripes type sound. Now all we need is a name! Me and Parker have had some free time for once so we have been trying to think of names. We have a few but nothing all that great. So i need YOUR help! just leave your idea of a band name in the comments!
P.s. if you don’t know who the White Stripes are (shame on you!), just watch the video!

This past weekend i went up to Tennessee with Jake decker and theVine. It was an amazing experience. But i have to tell you about sunday night, we started at about 8, with the ever popular We Shine by Steve Fee. It was absolutely awesome to see all those 35-40 or so guys jumping up and down! After that we played I Am Free and we ended the song . . .but the audience didn’t! They started singing so loud that we had to go back into the song! I thought that was going to be the most awesome part of the night . . I was wrong! We were going to play a quiet song after that but everyone was so pumped up that we ended up playing Everlasting God. God picked that song! Like the song before, we tried to end the song, but everyone kept singing, so we played the chorus a couple more times, and we thought that would be enough for them . . .we were wrong. They Kept SINGING!!!! so we played the chorus again. . . . . .STILL SINGING!!!! so we finally played the chorus a couple more times until everyone’s voice was pretty much gone. At that point, the band left the stage and Gus (the youth pastor) got up to speak . . .but he had nothing to say. He was going to speak about keeping your light burning bright, but everyone’s light was so bright then that it was blinding! So after maybe 30 minutes of speaking and a drama, the band got back up and played the scientist by Coldplay. EVERYONE WAS PRAYING LIKE CRAZY!!!!!! At one point maybe 5 guys came up and laid their hands on us and prayed while we were playing!! SO AWESOME!! then it was small group time. Then at about midnight, everyone came back in and we played We Shine again to end it up right! . . . The kids weren’t done worshipping. So we jammed out like crazy! for about two hours, finally ending it with the song No One Like You at 2:30 A.M.!!! Most definitely the best night of worshi i have ever been to.

“Santa” Massacre

Once again I will be bringing news of a massacre, this time dubbed the “Santa” massacre because the killer ,Bruce Jeffrey Pardo, was dressed in a santa costume. At 11:30 on new years eve, said killer knocked on some in-laws door and an 8 year old girl answered who he then shot in the face, he then proceeded to kill a total of 9 people before spreading gasoline in the house. The gasoline then unintentionally ignited, exploding and giving the killer third degree burns. He then proceeded to his brother’s house where he eventually broke in and in time, killed himself. This is believed to be caused by marital problems. . . . What is this world coming to?

Big deal, i asked why and i got the “Because i said so”. At least give your kids the respect enough to give them a reason, PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Check it. I have finally acquired the supplies necessary to make professional t-shirts! This first design is a collaborative piece between me and Brenna Lyn. It is a dove coming out of the barrel of a pistol to represent how out of war, peace can come. And on the back there is a small square with love on the bottom right hand side. Some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is always welcome!

i think its time once again for the church to recheck themselves. Why is Harry Potter satanic because it has witchcraft and what not, but the Lord of the Rings is okay, even though it was wizards, simply because it was written by a christian author, and it can be compared to a battle between the good angels and satan? Long question, i know, but why is that? is it only because LOTR was written by a christian author? But even more, he wasn’t a “christian”writer, but a writer who had christian beliefs. He has never been known to say that it was a christian book, but since he is a documented christian, it was automatically assumed that he put christian undertones in his book. So what makes Harry Potter witch craft? This isn’t a rhetorical question, so if anyone has the answer, please comment!

It has been a long time since my last post, sorry bout that my faithful readers. i promise, this will be my only post directly talking about politics, but i have to address this. President elect Barak Obama. At first i was not stoked about his election, and no, not because of his race, i am fairly well read on his policies, but mostly because of all the crap people at school ere starting, Wed. the 5th i walked into school to hear i GIANT chant of Obama ‘08. almost every black kid in my school was in the middle of the commons chanting that. it pissed me off fairly bad. Moslty because the kids weren’t only wearing Obama shirts. but also back power shirts. i am by no means racist, but it pissed me off because it was so ignorant. Now, fast forward to church that night. I asked the ever wise Bradley Eugene Dillard what he thought about the president elect, and what he said, was possibly the single most wise thing i have heard in a long time. this was his response “it doesn’t really matter what i think about it, God put him in charge so we should follow and support him.” So as we go into these upcoming years with President Obama, i think we should keep that in mind.
